What are Memory Care Communities?

Memory care, or memory support, communities provide support for older adults living with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia. These communities provide support with daily activities and/or medical care in a safe, comfortable environment.

Our evidence-based memory support program focuses on possibilities for your loved one, celebrating the whole person, their history, and their potential for growth and engagement. At CLC, we offer both Assisted Living Memory Care and Skilled Nursing Memory Care. Learn about their differences.

"My mother has been a resident of the Retreat for almost a year. I have nothing but good to say. From the front desk (Nikki and Jalyn) to the staff (Michael, Cooper, Sarah, Chyenne, Sheri) and the office (Alma, Michelle, and Thasha) They are always available and very helpful. They have taken great of Mom. Even with Covid and all that has happened with that, they are always quick to reach out with concerns and respond to me every time. The food has been very good, and they always know when she does not attend and make sure that a meal is delivered to her room. Assisted Living vs. Skilled Nursing Memory Care

Most of CLC’s memory care communities offer this support alongside assisted living support, which includes assistance with activities of daily living such as eating, medication reminders, and personal hygiene. We also have one skilled nursing memory care community, which offers memory support services in conjunction with around-the-clock nursing care, wound care, and/or medical monitoring.

Rhythms Dementia Services – Our Specialized Approach to Memory Care

CLC's innovative Rhythms approach centers on and adapts to your loved one’s natural rhythm of life. We are passionate about creating environments and programming that enable each person to navigate their world successfully and live a meaningful life. We understand that dementia is a “whole community” disease, so we strive to educate and support everyone on the dementia journey, including families and communities. Our memory care communities and neighborhoods were thoughtfully designed by experts to accommodate the unique challenges of those with memory loss. We offer private apartment homes for each memory support resident, along with discrete security and shared indoor and outdoor spaces where your loved one can safely enjoy their surroundings and connect with their neighbors.

Respite Stays & Adult Day Programs

For those who are caring for a loved one, we understand the importance of having a support system and time to rest from your caregiving responsibilities. Extended respite stays and adult day programs at CLC communities can offer your loved one meaningful opportunity to meet and socialize with other adults and provide you with time for self-care and rejuvenation.
