Christian Living Communities (CLC) based in Denver, Colorado, offers an opportunity for a new President & CEO who is strategically-focused, innovative, motivated by faith, and gifted with a servant leader’s heart.
CLC was founded in 1972 as a single-site skilled nursing residence for older adults. For a half century, it has honored and celebrated aging by pursuing a single mission: “to enrich the quality and dignity of life for older adults through services and care that reflect Christian love, respect, and compassion.” CLC is today a widely-admired, diversified senior living organization with 24 communities across 7 states, employing approximately 750 team members in owned, non -profit communities and 870 team members employed in managing both for-profit and non-profit communities. CLC’s 2020 budget projects $78,424,000 in revenue from owned communities, and anticipates $92,500,000 in revenues for owners of properties we manage.
The incoming President & CEO will report to the Board of Directors and join the professional Leadership Team in the development of an inspiring strategic plan. CLC serves in a rapidly-expanding field at a time when the 65+ population will be larger than younger generations, with greater resources and higher expectations. CLC will attract new residents and new partnerships based on its philosophy, diversified base of services, and earned reputation for integrity and excellence. At the same time, our commitment to stay within our Team’s capacity and to keep promises made to our current constituents and donors will require balanced leadership.
An innovative, wise, mission-focused and faith-anchored President & CEO will help lead CLC into its desired future. The ideal candidate will bring a proven record of creative leadership in a complex, multi-site organization. CLC’s Leadership Team will welcome a transparent, nurturing personality able to bring out the best in others. The Board of Directors will eagerly support a gifted and open communicator devoted to CLC’s Christian mission, vision and values. Together, Team and Board members will support an innovative, entrepreneurial thought-leader who carefully stewards CLC’s resources without fear of investing in growth that furthers the mission, who’s comfortable leading in a highly competitive environment.
CLC’s incoming President & CEO will have a visible understanding of older adult living ideas and realities. She or he must have demonstrable skills in communication both within the
organization and to those outside. He or she will be seasoned in strategic thinking with an orientation toward solution-oriented problem solving. Gifted at financial management, capable of fundraising, at ease with mergers and acquisitions, the chosen candidate will be grateful for the involvement of an active Board of Directors.
