It was our third time at bat, and this time it was a home run for the CLC-Cappella SPARK:2022 Leadership Summit held last week in downtown Denver. The conference, originally planned for July of 2020, was postponed twice, but community and organizational leaders were finally able to gather in person for a day and a half of enrichment, connection, and inspiration.

The summit was held at The Rally Hotel, just across from Coors Field the home of the Colorado Rockies Baseball team and what an appropriate setting to regain momentum on the road to recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic!

Sessions included creating a positive workplace culture, how to serve more older adults and their families in need of our services and care, creating communities of belonging, and celebrating milestone successes with our first annual SPARK Achievement Awards.

President & CEO Jill Vitale-Aussem concluded the summit with a call to serve for the next 50 years faithfully and jubilantly, as CLC will soon celebrate its Golden Jubilee anniversary, first opening its doors on May 7, 1972.
