Christian Living Communities (CLC) has announced the acquisition of Select Home Care to join its home care service, recently renamed Rhythms Home Care. CLC has operated a home care service in the Denver market since 1995. The recent acquisition doubles Rhythms’ size and reach, expanding its ability to provide in-home care for older adults in metro Denver.

According to a recent assessment by the City of Denver, one-third of the city’s population will be over 50 by 2020, creating a critical need for quality services for older adults. The formation of Rhythms Home Care aims to meet that crucial need by enabling CLC to reach even more local seniors.

“We are excited to take our culture of support and care into the homes of even more people,” said CLC President and CEO Terry Rogers. “We recognize most older adults desire to remain in their own homes for as long as possible. Growth in this important service is growing our mission to enrich the quality and dignity of life for older adults.”

In making the decision to sell Select Home Care to Rhythms, owner David Lewis noted how important it is for smaller, like-minded services to join forces.

“I believe the time has come in the Denver home care market to provide the best care for clients, we need to combine ourselves with other smaller companies with similar values to offer more options,” he explained. “Christian Living Communities is a leader in senior services and care with a reputation for innovation, excellence and values-based business practices. Choosing them to assume ownership was not only the best logical choice but also the one that felt right because of who they are.”

The new name, Rhythms, was chosen to set apart the home care service in Denver’s marketplace and to clearly convey its call to serve older adults by matching the natural rhythm of each client’s life.

Janice Crowley, Assistant Vice President of Rhythms Home Care explained that “We want to remain in rhythm with our clients as we help them take the necessary steps to be successful in their journey to remain at home. With the slogan we’ve adopted, “In Step with Your Life,” we’re truly making a commitment to walk beside each individual we serve.”

The newly expanded Rhythms Home Care will offer personal care, companionship, transportation, light housekeeping, meal preparation, errand assistance and some medical services including medication management as well as basic wound and catheter care. It will now employ a total of 184 care partners to serve at least 240 local seniors in their homes across five counties in the metro area.
