A little over a year ago, Duet Hospitality purchased a food truck for its four Colorado senior living communities. While the truck has succeeded in providing fresh, local and innovative food experiences for residents, it has taken on new significance during the Covid-19 pandemic. Quarantined residents have been able to get outsideโ€”with social distancing observedโ€”and engage with others while enjoying a variety of culinary offerings. The truck even gained some attention through a Food Management article confirming how relevant this service has been in these unprecedented times. Currently, the truck is scheduled between communities about twice a month and, because of its versatility, provides a new menu each time it rolls around!
