Creative pieces from CLC artists raised thousands of dollars for the Colorado Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association at this year’s Memories in the Making gala art auction held earlier this month.

Memories in the Making is an amazing program that utilizes art therapy to connect with those who live with dementia. CLC has two formal programs with the Colorado chapter, one at Someren Glen Adult Day and the other at Clermont Park.

George Reish, who participates in the Adult Day program at Someren Glen, created a wonderful piece titled Buffalo. It was paired with a piece entitled Last One Standing Wins by professional artist Margaretta Ceasar for the live auction portion of the event and sold for $5,250!

All in all, we had half a dozen art pieces in the art auction. We are proud of all of our artists and the great work being done in our programs to support people living successfully with dementia.
