On this Thursday before Thanksgiving, we pause to give thanks for all the blessings we’ve experienced as a CLC Family.

Our value We! Celebrate calls us to give thanks:

We! Celebrate | United, we’re grateful for the positive moments, big and small.

There are so many ways to show gratitude – a simple smile, a kind note, or a small gesture of support.

We also believe in Being Well Known. Knowing each other, what is important, what makes us smile helps each of us connect better to each other and makes showing appreciation much easier.

An attitude of gratitude isn’t just about giving praise, but it is also being ready to receive appreciation. Giving and receiving gratitude isn’t just a nice thing to do, it is also good for us.

According to author and psychotherapist Amy Morin in an article published in Forbes magazine, there are seven proven health benefits of gratitude.

  1. Gratitude opens the door for more relationships
  2. Gratitude improves physical health
  3. Gratitude improves psychological health
  4. Gratitude improves empathy and decreases aggression
  5. Grateful people sleep better
  6. Gratitude increases mental strength
  7. Gratitude improves self-esteem

In the spirit of Thankful Thursday, CLC President & CEO Jill Vitale-Aussem wants to share a message with everyone in our CLC family, residents, team members, family members, supporters, and friends – we are so very thankful and appreciative for each person.

Additionally, to mark this special Thursday, and to show our unity one more time before our 50th Anniversary year comes to a close, team members across CLC wore their 50th Anniversary T-shirts and shared expressions of gratitude.

"Clermont Park is a great place to live. You can participate as much or as little as you want in community activities. You can meet as many people as you like, and they are generally open, so I’ve made a lot of friends in the short time I’ve been here. "
